COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Lexington County School District One has confirmed that a teacher has been placed on leave amid an ongoing investigation into their social media posts.

The school district gave a statement to WIS.

"Lexington One can confirm that a teacher is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into allegations of unprofessional conduct related to social media posts. The district establishes professional standards for employees through Board policy and the employee code of conduct. This review process ensures those standards are upheld while also protecting the constitutional rights and due process guaranteed to employees. Lexington One remains committed to maintaining a professional, respectful learning environment for all students and staff."
