EDINBURGH, Ind. – Edinburgh Chief of Police Doyne Little released a statement Monday regarding an occurrence last Thursday at Edinburgh Community High School.
It read, “ Officers with Edinburgh Police responded to Edinburgh High School on a harassment report among Edinburgh High School Football players. The incident started during football practice when a couple of players got into an argument. Edinburgh Police are investigating the harassment complaint and will forward any criminal charges to the Johnson County Prosecutors if a crime has been committed. At this time, no additional information is available as this is an ongoing investigation. ”
As for the cancellation of the Homecoming football game, he stated, “This was a decision made by the Edinburgh Community School Corporation.”
