Auburn football could have done a lot of things differently in its 24-17 loss to Oklahoma over the weekend.
Hugh Freeze mentioned many of the mistakes the team made against the Sooners, but one in particular seemed to stand out to him.
“I’m a positive guy, and we’re going to get better. But it’s hard to not say that our special teams play in that game is probably the difference in the scoreboard,” Freeze said, “even with everything else that happened.”

A poor snap on a punt that gave Oklahoma the ball at Auburn’s 12-yard line.
Malcolm Simmons fielding a punt inside the two-yard line.
Connor Gibbs missing a 50-yard field goal.
An onside kick that Auburn had a chance to recover but didn’t.
Two special teams penalties
