Rigoberto Hernandez Hernandez of Keizer just wants to fight wildfires.

But now he is fighting the Trump administration over its immigration practices.

His attorneys went to federal court in Washington state last week with a lawsuit contending federal agents last month illegally arrested Hernandez, failed to properly charge him, and are keeping him in custody despite his long-standing application for a visa.

The case comes after what his attorneys say was the first time immigration officials have taken enforcement action on the lines of an active wildfire.
