Palm Springs police will share details later this week about the annual Coachella Valley Battle in the Desert boxing event.

The update is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at the department’s training center.

Police said they will highlight the fighters, sponsors and event partners.

The card will feature 14 bouts with participants from law enforcement, military and public safety agencies across the country, including departments in Palm Springs, Riverside County, Los Angeles County, Santa Monica and Santa Ana, along with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Houston Fire Department, the FBI, the Marine Corps and the Navy.

Battle in the Desert will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at Cathedral City Community Amphitheatre, 68526 Avenue Lalo Guerrero.
