The Conservative Party of British Columbia has completed its leadership review process. Of the 1,268 members in good standing who participated, 70.66% voted in favour of John Rustad continuing as party leader, while 29.34% voted against. The vote took place across 93 electoral districts (ridings).
Rustad received majority support in 78 ridings, lost in 10, tied in 3, and no votes were cast in 2 ridings.
“I would like to thank our members for coming out to use their democratic right and voicing their opinion on the direction of our party and movement,” Rustad said in a statement. He added that the process enabled members to share their views directly and participate actively in shaping the party’s direction.
