SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A threat prompted the closure of The GLO Center in Springfield on Monday. 

The center provides resources and education for the Ozarks LGBTQIA+ community. When staff members arrived around 10 a.m., they found some unspent rifle cartridges with words etched on them. Police are investigating the threat.

Glo Center leaders worry this will affect the Ozarks PrideFest taking place this weekend on Commercial Street. They say it’s not the first time they’ve been targeted.

“I believe our last incident similar to this would have been back in 2017 or 2018, when somebody actually took a shot at the front windows here on Commercial Street,” said Aaron Schekora of the GLO Center. “We do have security cameras, so we are hoping to roll that footage back and see if we can’t see
