LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A collision between a tractor-trailer and another truck has resulted in the trailer catching fire along I-35, according to eyewitnesses.

The fire was reported on Monday, September 22, shortly after 4 p.m. , leading to northbound traffic being diverted to the axis road.

At around 4:40 p.m. , the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) confirmed on its social media that the fire resulted from a two-vehicle accident.

Heavy traffic is expected in the area, and there are currently no reports of any injuries.
