CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WJZY/WNCN) -- Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to visit the Charlotte area Wednesday, announcing plans Monday for a visit to Concord.

The White House announced Monday Vance will deliver remarks on President Donald Trump’s tax cuts and the Trump Administration’s focus on state and local law enforcement.

The exact time or location has yet to be released for the appearance in the town about 30 miles northeast of Charlotte.

The news release from the White House said Vance would discuss, "President Trump’s tax cuts for working families and the Trump Administration’s commitment to empowering state and local law enforcement."

The visit comes just over a month since 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was fatally stabbed on Charlotte’s light rail, an incident that
