KALAMAZOO, MI – Four individuals injured in a shooting just west of Western Michigan University’s campus over the weekend have reportedly been released from the hospital.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety first responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of West Michigan Avenue at around 3:16 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, according to a release on KDPS’ Facebook page .

At the time, police said the shooting followed a physical altercation and was not a random act of violence, and none of the victims were associated with nearby colleges or universities.

As of Monday, Sept. 22, the four victims originally hospitalized in stable condition Saturday had been released from care.
