GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Grand Rapids police hope to identify a suspect in a fatal 2023 shooting with the release of surveillance video.

Police released a short video Monday, Sept. 22 that they say shows a suspect in the Jan. 14, 2023, killing of Jontell White.

White, 30, suffered multiple gunshot wounds outside of Metro Grand Rapids bar on South Division Avenue, north of Burton Street, at about 1:45 a.m.

Police said the surveillance video showed a scene just prior to the shooting. Police, using a digital tool, put a yellow box around the person they say is a suspect.
