SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig visited Woodbury County on Monday, Sept. 22, as a part of his annual tour across Iowa.
Naig was continuing his mission, which is to visit every county in the state of Iowa.
Visit to Sioux Honey
He kicked off his visit in Woodbury County on Monday at the Sioux Honey Association in Sioux City.
Naig says getting the opportunity to listen to and learn from Iowans is an important part of his job, so he can try to put policies in place at the state level or advocate for policies at the federal level.
While at the Sioux Honey Association, Naig focused on honey production in Iowa. He acknowledged bee health and the challenging times beekeepers across the state faced this year.
