SANGER, Texas — Family members have identified the woman killed when Sunday storms hit an RV park in Sanger as 79-year-old Rosemary Mcaninch.

Five RVs in the long-term resident section of Sanger/Denton North KOA Journey were flipped by strong winds. Mcaninch, in her RV with her small Yorkie dog, was pulled from the RV and rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her dog was found alive in the trailer Monday afternoon.

“Next thing I know I’m being flipped in the air,” said RV park resident Clint Frye whose trailer was in the same row as Rosemary Mcaninch. He and his dog, a black lab, were rescued by neighbors who brought a ladder to pull him and the dog out through a window.
