EAGAN, Minn. — Minnesota Vikings rookie Donovan Jackson will likely miss two games after having successful surgery Monday morning on a wrist he injured in Week 2, coach Kevin O'Connell said.
The surgery took place Monday morning in Los Angeles, and O'Connell said the team is hoping to use the bye week as time for his recovery. The Vikings head overseas this week for two games in Europe, starting Sunday against Pittsburgh in Dublin. Minnesota will then play Cleveland on Sunday, Oct. 5, in London before the bye week.
"He's off to a great start in his career," said O'Connell of Jackson, who has made an immediate impact as the team's starting left guard. "Everything we hoped he would be."
O'Connell said he anticipates Jackson making the trip, but not playing in either game.
