Court Documents: Man hits woman riding on scooter with motorhome in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A man suspected of hitting a woman on a scooter with his motorhome appeared in court Monday afternoon.

According to court documents, deputies were dispatched to a crash at East Montgomery Drive and East Mansfield Avenue in Spokane Valley Saturday evening.

Court documents say the person on the scooter told deputies they were waiting at the crosswalk in the area, looking to head south, when they saw the motorhome approaching the roundabout at a high rate of speed.

Court documents say the woman driving the motorhome hit the brakes, but the motorhome hit the curb and drove up onto the sidewalk, hitting the woman.

According to court documents, the motorhome involved in the crash was contacted earlier in the day by other deputies.
