In June, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that star defenseman Alex Pietrangelo was dealing with significant injury issues, to the point that Pietrangelo himself stated that the “likelihood is low that my body will recover to the standard required to play” hockey again. But today, ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski reported that Pietrangelo elected not to undergo surgery to repair his lingering hip issue and is instead continuing a rehab program that has thus far “given him positive results.”
