An air ambulance landed in a park in Salford after a girl was hit by a car on Monday afternoon (September 22).

Police and paramedics attended the incident on Manchester Road West (A6) beside the junction with Stocksfield Drive in Little Hulton to reports of a collision.

The girl, whose age was not confirmed, suffered a minor leg injuries and was taken to hospital from the scene. No further details about the incident have been released.

An air ambulance landed on nearby Peel Park following the collision, with witnesses reporting seeing a number of ambulances and police vehicles lining the main road.

A scene was put in place following the emergency response with bus service
