BELOIT, Wis. (WKOW) -- A television series is shining a light on Beloit, the city's growth and the people behind it.
A six-person team is looking to revitalize the city in the show ‘Betting on Beloit.’ At the center of it all is Konya Schuh, the daughter of billionaire and Wisconsin-native Diane Hendricks.
27 News sat down with Schuh about her goals with the show and the impact it’s had so far.
"My mom is really what inspired this whole mission," said Schuh. "We just kind of started messing around and came up with a home renovation show concept, but with a deeper-rooted story."
Schuh and her team are renovating homes in a historic Beloit neighborhood, butting up to Beloit College, that have fallen into a state of disrepair.
