SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Veterans and service providers are coming together under one roof on Monday and Tuesday for the CAV conference and the Veterans Assistance one-on-one expo.

The Community Action for Veterans conference is a two-day professional development event offering three learning tracks: mental health, rural challenges, and enhanced support for military families.

The expo brings 32 community partners together to help veterans and their families access benefits and resources that often take months to secure.

“Well, we really hope to help as many veterans as we can because there’s a lot of red tape when it comes to filing claims and enrolling in healthcare,” said Tammy Yarbrough, Veterans Experience Management Analyst and Expo Organizer.
