LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Las Vegas mother spoke outside the Clark County courthouse moments after attending a hearing for one of the teens accused of gunning down her 17-year-old son.

Julio Bravo was shot and killed last week, Sept. 15, trying to protect a girl from robbers, according to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

Jose Juarez, 17, was in the Regional Justice Center appearing before a Clark County Judge regarding his bail.

But, a decision was postponed as both Clark County prosecutors and Juarez's defense attorney agreed to reserve arguments for bail until a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 2.

The shooting happened at East Las Vegas Family Park near Washington Avenue and Lamb Boulevard.
