GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A Gulfport family is desperate for answers in their teenage son’s murder. Almost three years ago , Ozell Addison Jr. was shot to death in the back of a car. In the time since, the homicide investigation turned into a cold case .

Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers is helping Ozell’s family seek justice. It printed cardboard signs asking for information on the crime and offering a reward for an arrest: up to $2,500.

Ozell’s family told WLOX News, they have had little peace since that heartbreaking day in December 2022.

“Stress. Agony. Your life is just snatched away from you’re connected to your child,” said Ozell’s mom, Patricia May. “It was, like, unbelievable. Are we dreaming?”

There’s no waking up from this nightmare for Ozell’s family.
