JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Walgreens store sitting on the corner of Soutel Drive sits closed, having shut down back in May.

Fifteen minutes down the road is Dunn Avenue; that Walgreens location closed in June.

Charles Warren Jr. is one of the residents feeling the impacts firsthand.

“It’s kind of depressing because I live on the Northside and the one that closed on Soutel is a two-minute drive," Warren said. "Now I got to come all the way over here.”

“It’s kind of difficult for a lot of people because of the transportation, being able to move around; the mobility is a very inconvenience," Warren told First Coast News.

Walgreens is a popular chain known for its pharmacy, toiletries and even food. Now, those items will have to be picked up at the two Lem Turner locations.
