Canada declared its recognition of the state of Palestine at the United Nations on Sunday. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand tells Power & Politics it's part of Canada's long-held belief in a two-state solution, the prospect of which is becoming eroded both by Hamas's actions, and Israel's stance that a Palestinian state can never exist.
