Jimmy’s back, back again, but not if for your local ABC station is owned by Sinclair. Just as ABC announced the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live! beginning on Tuesday night, Sinclair pulled a “well, actually” on behalf of its affiliate stations as Kimmel’s late night show won’t be airing on their stations. On Monday night, a statement from Sinclair reads, “Beginning Tuesday night Sinclair will be preempting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.” All of this isn’t entirely unexpected: It seems like Sinclair, as well as Nexstar, another major affiliate group which has not yet said if it will air Kimmel’s show going forward, wants to see how Kimmel handles thi
