LEXINGTON, Ky. —

A handful of Tyler Childers fans recently experienced something they will never forget.

They were invited to watch a full-scale concert rehearsal inside an empty Rupp Arena and left with a surprise gift from the Kentucky singer.

The opportunity came together quickly.

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, the Hickman Holler Hunting Club announced on social media that 10 fans would be selected for a special rehearsal the following day.

To enter, fans had just a few hours to make a donation to Shriners Children’s Lexington.

By the deadline, there were 467 donations that brought in $17,744 for the hospital.

One of the winners was Scott Lowery, who brought his daughter as his guest.
