LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The chance of strong to severe thunderstorms will begin this afternoon and continue into the evening hours Monday.

Large hail and severe/damaging winds will be the main threats. Based on the environment, heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds will also be the main threats as activity moves across central/eastern Kentucky this afternoon.

The Storm Prediction Center has put the southeastern portion of our area under a Slight Risk Threat, which is a 2 out of 5 on the severe scale.

The rest of our area is still under a Marginal Risk which ranks as a 1 out 5 on the Severe Risk Scale for Today.
