Literacy Volunteers builds confidence through English tutoring

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- For many in Charlottesville, learning English is more than an academic challenge. It’s a lifeline to opportunity, belonging, and community.

“When I met him and I realized how smart he was and how determined he was to learn English,” longtime volunteer John Walsh said, “I was just blown away.”
