LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Construction of a new amphitheater in Lake George's Shepard Park is moving forward. The town has awarded contracts to the companies that will complete the work.

The construction contract for the new structure has been awarded to Binaccio, and VMJR was selected to handle the park and site work.

The original amphitheater was demolished in Summer 2024 following a fire, which investigators determined was caused by an electrical issue.

A construction kickoff meeting is scheduled for Wednesday.
