Investigators have identified the man they believe shot and killed a woman in a Carlsbad parking lot on Friday night.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect was 31-year-old Andre Anthony Matijasevic, who was himself killed later by law enforcement that same night. The woman's identity has yet to be made public.

The incident began on Friday night, when, investigators say, Matijasevic fatally shot the victim in an apartment-complex parking lot in the 2300 block of Rising Glen Way.
