Northgate kept its perfect season alive Friday night, shutting out Banneker 31-0 at home to move to 5-0. The Vikings jumped out early, built a 24-0 halftime lead, and never let up as their defense dominated from start to finish.

Sophomore running back Woody Schettini powered the offense, carrying 25 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns. His physical running wore down Banneker’s defense, pushing his season total to 746 yards through five games — well on pace to break 1,000.

Northgate also showcased its depth under center with senior Logan Taylor and sophomore Ledger Clements sharing duties. Taylor was efficient, going 4-for-5 for 42 yards and adding a rushing touchdown. Clements flashed his arm strength, completing 7 of 11 passes for 103 yards and two scores.
