The City of Atlanta Office of the Municipal Clerk has announced it will disqualify two candidates from participating in the upcoming municipal election in November for the Atlanta City Council Dist. 11 seat.
According to a short press release, both Keith Lewis, Jr. and Sherry B. Williams have been disqualified for failure to meet residency requirements for the Dist. 11 seat.
With the two disqualifications, the race remains crowded with Andre Burgin, Curt Collier, Stephen Dingle, Harold Maurice Hardnett, Toni Belin-Ingram, Nate Jester, Wayne Martin, and Reginald Rushin all vying for the seat.
Dist. 11 is currently represented by Marci Collier Overstreet, who is seeking the Atlanta City Council President seat in November.
With the disqualification, 56 candidates are running in the munici
