RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - President Trump announced that taking acetaminophen, commonly known as Tylenol, may be linked to autism, which studies show now affects 1 in 31 American children .
During a press conference on Monday, the President stood alongside Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and several other top health professionals to make the announcement.
Kennedy took the podium after the President and advised pregnant women to use Tylenol only if they absolutely need it. It should be noted that doctors normally prescribe it to pregnant women to manage fever and pain.
“The FDA will issue a physician’s notice about the risk of acetaminophen during pregnancy and begin the process to initiate a safety label change,” Kennedy Jr. said.
