SEVEN BAYS, Wash. – Firefighters are making progress on two significant wildfires in eastern Washington.

The Lynx Mountain Fire, which started on September 2, is located seven miles northwest of Inchelium. It has burned 8,850 acres and is 44% contained. With 490 personnel on the scene, efforts to control the fire are ongoing.

The Rattlesnake Fire, which began on September 1, 2025, is situated two miles west of Seven Bays. It has affected 21,844 acres and is 93% contained. There are 317 personnel working to manage the situation.

Evacuation orders remain in place for the Twin Lakes Community due to the Lynx Mountain Fire. Similarly, the area along the 9-mile Hells Gate Road is still under evacuation orders due to the Rattlesnake Fire.
