MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4) — Jeff Silvestrini, the first and current mayor of Millcreek, has announced his plans to retire.
Today, the Millcreek Mayor announced his plans to retire, effective November 10, 2025. Jeff Silvestrini, 71, has served as Millcreek's mayor since the city's official incorporation in December 2016.
In his public statement, Silvestrini stated that he hoped to spend more time with his family. He said, "After nearly a decade in this position, I realize it is time for me to do what will make Leslie and me the happiest."
Silvestrini also cited personal health issues as another reason for his retirement. He said, "I needed two surgeries recently, and I learned that I also have leukemia and a 'hopefully' benign pancreatic tumor."
