Police are looking for a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and-run that left a person injured in Bethel on Monday night.

The police department responded to Nashville Road around 8:10 p.m. after getting a report that a man was struck and was unresponsive.

Responding officers said the man was lying in the road breathing, but not responsive. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but the extent of his injuries is unknown.

Officers said evidence at the scene suggests a car traveling northbound on Nashville Road struck the man and took off.

Police are looking for a white four-door sedan. The car fled the scene before police arrived, and it's likely to have passenger side damage.
