OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A Nebraska state senator is pushing to bring another form of public transportation to the state.
State Sen. Margo Juarez hosted her fifth and final town hall Monday evening at the Willa Cather Library, focusing on the possibility of expanding passenger rail service in Nebraska.
“One of the main problems in the city right now is the fact that it is so car-centric,” said participant James Presler.
Juarez says the lack of options outside of driving is hurting the state.
“It is such a detriment to our state that we don’t have another transportation option besides a car,” Juarez said.
