LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas police are investigating a crash involving several vehicles in the central valley Monday evening.

According to police, the crash happened just after 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and 6th Street, just east of Paradise Road.

Officers arrived to find out that an SUV traveling westbound on Sahara neglected to stop at a red light, police said. The SUV then crashed with a vehicle driving southbound in the intersection, they added.

“The impact caused the accident to cross the Sahara median, striking several vehicles stopped at the eastbound red light,” a Metro lieutenant told FOX5.

All reported injuries are minor, they said.

The lieutenant said the SUV driver is suspected of driving under the influence.
