DES MOINES, Iowa —

President Donald Trump on Monday promoted unproven ties between Tylenol, vaccines, and autism during a White House news conference, advising pregnant women not to take Tylenol and urging mothers not to give their infants the drug, known by the generic name acetaminophen.

Erin Enyart, executive director of The Autism Society of Iowa, expressed disappointment with the president's announcement, emphasizing the need for real science to find a cure for autism.
