The owner of an historic events and conference venue in Bristol that was put up for sale earlier this year says it has received "multiple credible offers" for the site.

Chamber of commerce Business West announced that Leigh Court - a stately home at the western edge of Leigh Woods - had been put on the market in March.

The Grade II-listed venue has been the setting for major television shows, including Bridgerton and Doctor Who, and is set in 22 acres of parkland and woodlands.

It is understood that Bristol businessman Jonny Palmer, who owns part of the estate already, is among those who have made an offer to buy Leigh Court.
