Mumbai, Sep 23 The National Stock Exchange (#NSE) will hold a special one-hour Muhurat Trading session on October 21, from 1.45 p.m. to 2.45 p.m., with a pre-open session from 1.30 p.m. to 1.45 p.m., to celebrate the new Samvat year.

This symbolic trading takes place annually on Diwali, despite the markets being closed on Lakhsmi Puja, and is believed to bring financial prosperity. This year marks the beginning of Samvat 2082.

The session will be held in the afternoon instead of the usual evening timing, and similar plans are expected from the Bombay Stock Exchange (#BSE). Historically, the Muhurat session has become a significant tradition in Indian culture and finance, highlighting the importance of sentiment in trading decisions.
