SALISBURY — Livingstone’s football team stopped a 2-point conversion attempt with 13 minutes left.

That turned out to be the critical play in Saturday’s 17-16 win over the Bowie State Bulldogs.

It was a hot one at Alumni Memorial Stadium — in the 80s — but Livingstone’s defense held up on the light blue turf. Livingstone didn’t muster a lot of offense, was limited to 66 rushing yards for the game and didn’t score in the second half, but the bottom line was a victory in LC’s home opener and CIAA opener.
