ST. CLAIR SHORES – State ranked Macomb Dakota and Detroit Country Day took home the top two spots at Thursday’s VC-DM Tournament at St. Clair Shores Golf Club.

Dakota collected a play-five, count-four team score of 319 to edge Country Day (328) by nine strokes. Macomb Lutheran North was third with a 351, followed by Utica Eisenhower (355), Birmingham Marian (383), Grosse Pointe South (395), Warren Regina (396), Yale (396) and St. Clair Shores Lakeview (424).

Dakota is ranked fifth in Division 1, Country Day third in Division 3 and Eisenhower ninth in Division 9.

Halie Heineman of Country Day was medalist with a one-over round of 71. She edged Dakota’s Angelina Accuso (72) by just a stroke to earn top honors.
