A man dubbed the “Moore Park Rapist” has admitted to a two-year sexual assault rampage against eight women, decades on from the spate of crimes which terrorised Sydney.

Between 1991 and 1993, Glenn Gary Cameron attacked young women and sparked widespread panic across the city as police searched desperately for the serial predator.

As Cameron faced the John Maddison Tower Local Court via audiovisual link from Long Bay Correctional Complex on Tuesday, with light blonde hair and wearing glasses, he rested his chin on his interlocked hands and kept them there throughout the brief appearance. He muttered “yes, your honour” when the magistrate asked if he understood he was being committed for sentence in the District Court.
