VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. ( WBRC ) - For years now, a concerning trend in law enforcement has fewer people are choosing to enter the field.
Police departments across the country are struggling to recruit and retain men and women right now, but someone has to put on that badge to protect your community.
The Vestavia Hills Police Department serves nearly 40,000 people . The city is consistently rated as one of the safest communities in Alabama, with more than 100 officers working to keep it that way.
Two of them have a lot of trust and high expectations for each other.
