Police have issued a public safety warning about a high-profile sex offender that has been released from prison to live in Vancouver.
Randall Hopley last gained the public's attention when he cut off his monitoring anklet and disappeared while on parole, only to be captured in Vancouver and sent back to prison.
He was the subject of a 10-day manhunt in November 2023, which ended after he was found standing at the locked door of the Vancouver Police Department annex on East Cordova Street near Main Street.
