THE Cleveland Browns ambitious new stadium plans may finally have liftoff.
Ohio transportation regulators had been concerned about the $3.6billion venue’s proposed height disrupting air traffic.
The Browns are looking to build near to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
A permit for the stadium was declined last month by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
There were worries the stadium's planned height of 221 feet would disrupt approaching aircraft.
The Browns appealed the decision, with a permit successfully granted following a review.
A third-party consultant found the stadium’s construction would not divert any flight paths, per Front Office Sports .
The venue will also be fitted with roof lighting required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
