TRAVERSE CITY — Homestretch Nonprofit Housing will have more time to find the money it needs to build affordable housing on a Traverse City parking lot.

City commissioners Monday unanimously agreed to give the developer until the end of January 2026 to come up with at least 80 percent of the money needed to build the five-story, 44-unit apartment building it plans for the corner of State and Cass streets.
