KIMT NEWS 3 -- Adam Fravel, the man convicted of killing the mother of his two children, is now requesting a new trial.
In new online court filings released Monday, his attorney requested that the convictions for his two first degree murder charges and one count of second degree murder for the death of Madeline Kingsbury be thrown out.
"Trial errors constituting abuse of discretion or plain error, individually or cumulatively, require reversal of Fravel's convictions and a new trial," Fravel's attorney Greg Scanlan wrote in the filings.
Last November, a Blue Earth County jury found Fravel guilty of two counts of first degree murder and two counts of second degree murder in Kingsbury's death.
He was then sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
