BUFFALO BILLS star Josh Allen is facing punishment from the NFL after an apparent gesture against the Miami Dolphins.

The quarterback helped propel the Bills to No. 1 in the AFC East after a 31-21 victory on Thursday Night Football.

Allen completed 22-of-28 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the win at Highmark Stadium.

The performance saw him smash a record previously held by Patrick Mahomes.

But he may yet be hit with a financial penalty after an incident in the third quarter.

Moments after being brought down by Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks, Allen rose to his feet and seemingly made a finger gun .
