The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is seeking comment on cleanup plans for Red Lodge’s Rocky Fork Inn — a two-story bed and breakfast neighboring Rock Creek on the city's main thoroughfare and a remnant of the ravaging 2022 Yellowstone flooding.
During the flooding, windows were shattered and debris was strewn across the property, with mud, stones and tree branches filling the inside of the building. The hotel has been largely untouched since, with a sign out front warning of no trespassing.
